Quinn Mavetz
Psychotherapist
Seeking support for one's mental health journey is a courageous decision. The foundation of successful psychotherapy begins with building a strong connection that emphasizes respect, empathy, and trust. Psychotherapy also acts as a “mirror” to learn how we relate with others, which is a rich opportunity for personal insight. Quinn believes in working collaboratively with clients to identify how past experiences may be currently alive in the present. She values providing clients with a safe space that encourages authenticity and curiosity. Her goal is to empower clients to identify opportunities for growth and positive change so that they can live in alignment with their own values and needs. Her approach to therapy is support-focused and person-centered while incorporating psychodynamic and mindfulness perspectives.
Quinn is currently working toward obtaining her Master's in Counseling Psychology at the University of Saint Thomas and is working under the supervision of Cody L. Oaks. Her interest in the human experience and creative expression informed her studies at the University of Minnesota where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in English. Before pursuing a career in counseling, she worked in both the bridal and retirement service industries.
